Students will learn how to bring a movie or sequence to life. They will review movie sequences and discuss how the color and mode has enhanced the film. They will also learn how to create the traditional "looks" from movies, TV commercials, and music videos, as well as how to matching those looks, not only shot to shot, but also to an entire scene.

This class is an excellent introduction to daVinci Resolve. It is ideal for first time users and you do not need to be a colorist to attend. Class size is normally capped at ten students with a workstation and control surface for each student. Ideal for current Resolve users or students who have taken our RG101 course, have taken an online introduction class, or are self-taught. It will give you the confidence to take your grading to the next level. We cover intermediate techniques using the latest Resolve software that focuses on Colorists who are starting to work with clients for the first time. RG180 also looks at 8bit versus 10bit, 422 versus 444, color space, macro blocking, and general problems that occur during a session.
